What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We prefer to see the project first before giving an estimate. We don't charge to come out and look at a job. We give quotes for labor only. We will assist you in picking the right paints and ordering.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to come out and meet with you, take pictures of the project, discuss paint and any minor repairs that may need to be done and a start date. I usually will contact you that evening with a quote. Normally I only quote labor with recommendations on paint and supplies.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

18 years. Started as a helper and learned on the job.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

honestly it just started as a job in need but I realized it was my passion. In the 13 years, my business grew thru word of mouth. I have NEVER advertised before, not even a name on my van. I only started advertising now because of relocation and need to build my business a little faster.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Mainly homeowners and realtors. As I mentioned I am relocating. All of my business before now was in the Metro Atlanta suburbs such as Dunwoody, John's Creek and Alpharetta area.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be very clear on what you expect done. Don't say you want a room painted or outside painted. Include details such as closets, doors, trim and ceilings. pick quality paint. It may be a little more expensive but maybe you use less because it covers better. Don't expect small jobs to necessarily cost less. Perfect example: remove wallpaper and paint a bathroom. A painter has to calculate 1 day of driving and removing wallpaper and have to wait for walls to dry. Come back another day and sand and possibly repair damaged drywall. Depending on the drywall, it could be a 3rd day before able to paint. A small job but time consuming. You might as well add another room to the project.
