Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I usually charge by the sq ft. I try to be fair and affordable. Im negotiable.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I try to establish a good rapport. I want the customer to know exactly what they are getting for my services and to answer any questions that they may have.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I spent most of my adult career in the airline industry, but after a near death experience about 8 years ago, I decided to go to work for myself. I learned how to paint at a young age and picked up a lot of my other skills over the years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Started doing work on my houses and fell in love doing it. My cousin taught me a lot. He is a very handy person. Painting always came easy and natural with me. Worked with a professional when I was young, and he taught me a lot.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Mostly, residential, but I am starting to do more commercial work.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I just completed a vinyl plank floor for a customer that lives in a condo. It turned out really good and the customer loved it. It was a fairly big job for one person, but I completed it in about 2 weeks. Replaced old carpet and some tile with beautiful vinyl plank flooring throughout the whole first floor. I have pictures posted on my profile.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would say the hardest part about finding a provider is finding someone who is reputable and trustworthy. I think after talking with customers that they find out pretty quick that I am a trusting person.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I think customers should think about what exactly they really want before they talk to professionals. Having a good timeframe that you want the project started and completed by. If painting...try to know the sqft and how many rooms and if you want walls, trim, ceilings, or doors painted. If flooring...what kind of flooring. Something that is easy to clean, scratch resistance, or waterproof. Just ask questions! If I cant answer your question I will make every effort to find you the answer.
