Introduction

Hello! I am new to the Cheyenne area, but not new to Lawn care. I started maintaining lawns for customers in Pennsylvania and Virginia about 10 years ago and I am excited to start work here in Cheyenne. My biggest focus is giving the customer what they need and maintaining a clean finished product. In addition to lawns I can help with tree trimming, tree removal, hedges, gutter cleaning, junk/appliance/furniture removal and snow removal! I look forward to working with you.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I am up front with everything that I include when I provide a quote or estimate. I will almost always come look at the work in person before providing pricing so that I can make sure we are on the same page with the work that needs to be done and the finished product expectations of the customer.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Typically I will want to meet with the customer or someone at the proposed project site to review the work needed. Usually at that point I can provide pricing on the spot and leave it up to the customer when/if they want to schedule the work to be done. I like to make sure we discuss expectations for when during the day the work needs to be completed, as well as make sure the customer has my contact info if there are any questions that come up.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I do not have any formal landscape training but I have been around professional contractors and doing this type of work in one form or another for most of my life. I am committed to giving the customer the product that they want, and I will make fixes or changes to my work if the customer asks.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started doing lawn care at my childhood home around the age of 7, helping my dad as a part of my weekly chores. I grew to enjoy working on projects outdoors and decided to take on some side jobs in high school and then picked up several consistent lawn customers in 2013. Over the years I have gained a lot of experience in various aspects of landscape maintenance and I try to continue learning new things each season!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I primarily have worked with residential customers and/or landlords. I have also cut grass for a few small businesses in the past.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Some of my favorite projects are tree trimming/removal and also clearing out "overgrown" lawns to get them back under control for homeowners. Trees are usually unique in each case depending on a variety of factors, but I recently cut down and removed a 40 ft white birch tree and cleaned it up for a customer in about 5 hours. Clearing overgrown lawns is also dependent on size and some other factors, but I recently did one of these projects for a neighbor that took about 6 hours. I love seeing the difference from start to finish on projects like these!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would say to be specific with your expectations and be up front with when you need the work done. I have heard a lot of unfortunate cases from customers where they have been left hanging by a contractor or business. I am very honest about what timeline I think it will take to get a project done, and I always show up at the time that I tell the customer.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1) Clearly define the scope of what you want done for a given project 2) Have a clear date/time when you want the work completed by 3) Make sure there is good communication prior to selecting someone for a project. If there is not good communication before a project, it won't get better during the project. 4) Consider intangibles like responsiveness, cleanliness, communication, etc. when deciding who to hire. Price should not be the only consideration in most cases if you want the best service or product.
