Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We offer free, ballpark estimates for sprinkler system installation to all prospective customers. If you would like to continue after your ballpark estimate, a site visit will be required. We charge a $150 fee for the site visit and system design. Unfortunately, due to the rising cost of fuel and labor, we cannot offer completely free estimates. If we are hired for the project, however, we credit this fee to your final bill. Our service call rates are $90/hr, plus parts.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We will ask you a few questions about your property, and then we will provide you with a ballpark estimate. Should you wish to proceed after the ballpark estimate, we will make a site visit to your property to take measurements, note any landscaping or structures not found on an aerial photo, take flow and pressure readings of the house off an outside faucet, and finally will create a proposed system design to send you along with our estimate. The reason we do a ballpark estimate prior to a site visit is to ensure that you fully understand the cost of installing an irrigation system. We really don't want to waste anyone's time, yours or ours, so we want to make sure it's in your budget before taking the time for a site visit and creating an irrigation design.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

The owner has worked in irrigation for the last 10 years, which includes working directly under two registered landscape architects. The owner also has multiple certifications from Hunter Industries, a world leader in irrigation technology. The owner is constantly working to improve his knowledge of irrigation and up-and-coming irrigation technology, including the advancement of smart irrigation.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We have worked with customers including small residential and larger commercial properties. We can work with just about any customer.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Don't just go with the low bid, especially if it's substantially lower than other bids you get. There's usually a reason they are so low. Often times they cut corners or have less sprinklers and coverage than they should. They may also not warranty their work or try charging you an exorbitant amount to fix their work. Poorly installed work can leave you with crop circles in your lawn and could cost thousands for another company to correct. We always give customers a site plan of the proposed system so you can actually see what it might look like when it's all done, and we encourage you to ask the same of any other contractor you seek bids from.
