What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We price projects based on multiple variables. Some tasks are based by the Sq. Ft others by Linear Ft., and rarely by hours alone.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Once we receive your information, and establish a time to meet. Estimate will be established, before photos, and any necessary permits, and move forward on beginning the work as outlined.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Experience wise, I started building houses, and doing construction with my grandfather and my uncle 30 years ago, then began work as a journeyman for Mason and Boiler makers, finally I decided to join the Army, and after getting out, I did construction work on the side. Then in 2013 I decided to do it full time, and have enjoyed it ever since.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask questions, and get ideas. As contractors we see various jobs that might be similar, but results are different based on terrain, home, ground type, etc. Play around with ideas, and augmented reality helps visually.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Think long term and end result, sometimes, it looks good on paper price wise, but there is more cost in maintenance. Know the options, and avoid shortcuts, they can cost you more over time, and in many cases, it's negligible.
