Introduction

Hi, I’m Pablo Hernandez. I run a small landscaping business based out of Aurora, IL, and I’ve been doing this kind of work for years. It’s honest work, and I take a lot of pride in it—whether it’s regular yard maintenance, hardscaping, leveling out land, clearing brush, or trimming and removing trees. I enjoy seeing a property go from overgrown or unfinished to clean, sharp, and usable. I work with homeowners all around the area—Aurora, Naperville, Oswego, Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles, North Aurora, Montgomery, Plainfield, and other nearby towns. If you’re within about 30 miles of Aurora, I can probably help. When you hire me, you’re getting someone who cares about the details and treats your property with respect. I don’t overbook, I show up when I say I will, and I always do my best to leave your place better than I found it. If you’re looking for someone dependable who’ll do the job right, I’m happy to talk and see how I can help.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I keep my pricing fair and straightforward. Every job is different, so I usually like to see the space or get a good description before giving a quote. I don’t charge hidden fees, and I always let you know upfront what things will cost. For larger or ongoing jobs, I’m open to working out something that fits your budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I usually start with a quick phone call or message to understand what you need. If it’s a bigger job or something more detailed, I’ll come take a look in person so I can give an accurate estimate. Once we agree on the work and schedule, I get started—no surprises, just clear communication and solid work.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Most of what I know comes from hands-on experience. I’ve been doing landscaping and outdoor work for years, learning by doing—from mowing lawns and trimming trees to building patios and clearing land. Over time, I’ve picked up a lot of knowledge about materials, drainage, grading, and design, all from being out in the field.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started helping friends and family with their yards and small projects, just trying to lend a hand. One thing led to another, and I realized how much I enjoy the work. I decided to make it my full-time job, and now I run my own business doing what I love.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with all kinds of people—homeowners, landlords, real estate agents, small business owners. Some just need their yard cleaned up once, others want regular maintenance or bigger projects like patios or land clearing. I treat every job with the same level of care, no matter the size.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One job I really enjoyed was helping a couple in Oswego who just bought their first home. The backyard was overgrown, uneven, and kind of wild. We cleared it, leveled the ground, built out a small patio area, and added a border with fresh mulch and plants. It took about a week, and seeing how happy they were at the end made all the work worth it.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Don’t be afraid to ask questions and get a few quotes. Look for someone who listens to what you want, not just someone who’s rushing to sell you on a job. Good work speaks for itself, so pay attention to how a contractor communicates and how they treat your property from the start.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Think about your budget, what your priorities are, and how you want the space to be used. Is this a short-term fix or something you want to last for years? It also helps to know your timeline and whether you have any specific materials or styles in mind. The more details you can give, the better I can help bring your vision to life.
