What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I give free estimates and will come out to you island wide, or you can send me photos. Pricing will depend on how much reduction you would like trimmed. Fees will include labor and disposing of tree debris. Discounts are available if you pay cash.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First I need to know what your tree trimming needs and concerns are. What is your priority? and how much you want trimmed. I need to know if there are any hazards like power lines, sprinklers, water pumps etc. I will then write up a proposal and schedule a date that is convenient for you. You are billed when the job is complete.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been working as a tree trimmer and climber for seven years with various tree companies as an independent contractor before beginning my own company three years ago. I have been climbing trees since I was a child helping my grandpa with Orange trees in Florida.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began my career in the military right out of high school and discipline, integrity and safety are my priority in whatever I do. I love working outside and appreciate nature. It was very easy for me to transition into the tree trimming business and I worked my way from ground work to climbing. Climbing trees has always come natural to me.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with property managers, real-estate agencies, private residential, and contracted to work also work with golf courses and shopping centers as well.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently did a job where the trees were on a hill and it was a difficult four day project. The house was at the bottom of the hill with tree branches over the roof and rocks that could potentially role down the hill and harm the house. I was up for the challenge and nothing was damaged. Another happy customer.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A customer first needs to ask if their tree trimmer is licensed and insured. There are many people working independently that are not. Also if you hire a big company, they will charge you very high prices because they have a lot of overhead costs that I don't as a smaller business.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

It is important that a tree trimmer considers what is good for the tree when trimming and not just butcher, but instead trim tree in a way that it will grow back healthy. You want to have a tree trimmer that understands how to cut properly.
