Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We are honest, fair, and open about our pricing and we understand the prices of most of our competitors. We work on a 35% profit margin, most roofing companies work on an 85-150% profit margin.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start with a roof and attic inspection. then we like to present our findings and only if we find a problem do we suggest a solution. After a new customer signs up their roof will generally be installed within 2-4 weeks.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
All of our installers must have a minimum of 5 years of roofing experience to be on our team. our most advanced has 25 years of roofing experience.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I was hired by a roofing company that costed 3x's what a roof should cost and I didn't like that they were so expensive so I left the company to start my own and provide better prices to customers.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Property Managers, Residential customers, Landlords

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We recently completed an HOA job of 65,000 sq feet of roofing and 18,000 feet of gutters. We saved the community over $700K from the other three bids.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
If you have a salesperson coming in to your home that won't leave to let you think about your decision, don't hire them. Hire someone who respects your time and your decision process.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
They should google how much a roofing costs in their area. Look at Roofing Insights on youtube to get an idea about product comparisons. Make sure you hire someone that has workers comp for all workers on the roof. Most companies claim they are exempt from workers comp because they hire sub contractors. Then the subs don't have it so if someone gets hurt on your roof, it can fall back on you.
