What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our lower overhead is the key to better pricing! We are able to consistently offer the highest possible quality products for home exteriors, including sliding glass doors, entry doors, siding and windows, at the lowest possible prices consistent with quality.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The initial visit is typically brief and includes a personal introduction to discuss your needs and an opportunity to measure the windows, siding, etc. A proposal is then prepared at our office and emailed the same day to the customer. If our pricing is within your budget, a second appointment is made to review product choices, options and installation schedules. Prices are good for 90 days

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been in this field since the mid '90's and can make the suggestions and design the solutions to meet almost any need. Our installation company is employee-owned and has 50+ years in this market exclusively installing quality products for residents in Virginia. Our quality and experience are on display, every day!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began my home improvement career with training and help from a national siding company, that also sold windows, and doors.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked exclusively with residential homeowners in the area and have no experience in the commercial construction industry, making me a true residential professional.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We completed a project today, for example, where the homeowner had no idea that he could purchase high quality triple pane windows for the price most companies offer double pane windows. Why triple pane? Because 3 panes of glass are more efficient than old fashioned double pane, for one thing, not to mention quieter and more secure!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My advice is always to shop around for the best combination of price and quality you can find. There are many companies to choose from, and we are grateful so many of the customers we meet choose Star Home Improvements for their remodeling needs!

Plan ahead, decide the scope of work you would like to have bid, and remain open-minded to suggestions regarding product ideas. No one solution fits all, and we look forward to helping you find your solution!
