Introduction

Hi there! My name's Wes and I run Mountain Tough Exteriors. Here's the deal, I can help you with your gutters AND bring you donuts at the same time. But seriously, we do a few things really, really well: -We're fast. Like getting you a solution to your problem within 24 hours. -We communicate. Phone call, text, email, Facebook, Thumbtack. We monitor it all and shoot to respond to ALL message within 30 minutes (if not faster). -We listen. Our process is to listen first, and then customize the solution to your home. Colors, location, timing, there's no one-size-fits-all. Overall, our goal is to serve you and do our best to turn you into a fan of Mountain Tough Exteriors for years to come!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We don’t aim to be the lowest bidder. We do aim to charge a fair rate that allows both parties involved to be happy. We ultimately want you to get A+ service AND feel comfortable with using us again. But we can’t slap cheap products on your home and feel like we’re doing your project justice.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
It’s simple. We’ll start with a quick discussion over the phone followed by a visit to your home. We want to walk around with you and see what you want done, ask lots of questions, and make sure we can find a solution that fits your needs exactly. After that it’s as simple as picking a date on the calendar, ordering materials, and installing gutters. The guys always do a thorough cleaning of the job site and a walk around with you afterwards. And of course we always try to shower you with lots of donuts during the process.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I’ve actually have paid over $30,000 in the past year for training in this space. And I’m always looking for ways Mountain Tough Exteriors can up its game. But we’ve been learning about everything from the nitty gritty of how to install to how to consult with our customers and add value to your life instead of just trying to sell you with hard closes and pushy tactics.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I (Wes - donut guy) started this company after selling a previous business in Logan, UT. I love working with my hands and gutters are an underserved market that I wanted to dive into and see how we could make an impact.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Everyone from homeowners to contractors to businesses. We love everyone and most everyone loves the donuts we bring around :)

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We recently added jet black gutters to a new addition to someone’s house. It was a lot of fun getting to work with this color and hang long, 50 foot stretches of gutter. And obviously to bring donuts and chat with our friend Alex!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Do your research online and ask lots of questions throughout the process. You don’t want to hire a fly by night contractor who’s just going to slap gutters on your house and bounce. Finding a company that actually wants to work with you and develop a relationship where you can be open with them is huge.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What do you care about most on your project. Do you want good warranties, solid products, high-end service? Do you only care about price? Find out what’s important to you concerning this project, otherwise your contractor will decide for you.
