What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

In our fencing department we do use a basic per linear foot pricing, but do conduct site visits to ensure all factors transparent for both parties in case pricing will be lower or higher.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Our top priority is to listen and acknowledge customers' expectations and their end result. We want to ensure the customers' vision is met or exceeded. We want our first estimate to be the last, if not or lower. Our business takes pride in our workmanship and customer satisfaction. When we leave a job site it will be cleaned as if it was our own home and product as if were a shinny new car.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Our team of professionals have worked their whole lives in the construction industry in varies sectors, from residential carpentry, flooring, concrete and concrete etching/staining, to commercial construction. Our team is also made up of US Military Veterans who understand the process of completing projects as per design/job scope.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Our company is relatively new but staff is well seasoned in the construction industry. Our management has over 90 years of leadership experience both in the US Military and civilian commercial world.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have worked with both the residential and commercial sectors. We enjoy working in both sectors as both are rewarding in their own ways.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Our last fence was 250 linear feet on a very sloppy and uneven landscape at a residential home that was about to go For Sale. We had to perform some additional landscaping on the property prior to installing the privacy fence...note, we did not charge the customer any additional costs. After leveling we were able to use our lines to ensure straight angle from the lowest part of the property to the highest with awesome results. The customer was greatly impressed with our workmanship and professionalism. It took us a little longer than expected (4 days) but seeing the customer satisfaction is paramount in our industry.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always meet with person in charge (project manager) and only speak to him about the project. Any changes must be communicated through both you and him. If you must make a change and person in charge not in the area ensure you inform him when he is available.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I believe it is always best to write down the project and their expectations...ask the professional for his last price, no more, no less. Ensure the estimate is signed by both parties, ensure estimate states "any additional costs to the project are responsibility of contractor". Lastly, provide him all your thoughts and vision without leaving anything out...don't hold back!
