Kas Contracting is a local general roofing contractor with emphasis in residential and commercial insurance recovery and restoration. Through developed relationships with insurance agencies and realty companies, we provide asset protection with pre-loss/pre-sale inspection programs and post loss/post sale restoration programs, providing an invaluable service to insured and homebuyers and sellers alike. Additionally, with our many years of a "customer-first" philosophy, we pride ourselves on providing a fresh and honest way of dealing with contractors far removed from the "good-ol'-boy" mentality of yesteryear. We're there when we say we're going to be there. We call when we say we are going to call and most significantly, we treat you as our most important client simply because you are. It may sound simple but in this day and age of profits over performance of quantity over quality, we strive to maintain a profound principle of simply doing what is right over doing what is expected.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our pricing is extremely competitive. We are not the most expensive company out there but still provide quality workmanship and superior materials.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Our traditional process for working with a new customer is simply to treat that customer as we would want to be treated. We inquire and gather all the information necessary first to ensure the proper application of our services as well as what best fits the needs of our client. This eliminates any wasted time and allows us to provide the most accurate and specific quote possible to best benefit our customer. Upon acceptance of our quote your salesperson will guide you through the production process through communication and specific timelines. We consider this a crucial component to our satisfying our customers as we would want you to always be aware of were your project stands. After completion of the project and more importantly upon your satisfaction we then request payment.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We have over 30 years experience in roofing industry and approximately 30 years in the insurance restoration industry as well. We are IICRC certified in fire & smoke restoration, water damage restoration and applied structural drying. We are licensed independent adjusters with certifications from many of the top insurance companies and are also certified by the Texas Wind Association to assess wind damage to properties. Based upon our experience and formal educational background we feel we are well staffed and equipped to handle any roof repair or replacement, from flat to steep and shingle to tile.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Back in 1999 my sister worked for a roofing company owned by my aunt. She suggested I apply for the roofing sales position. I did and with a little help from my sister, not to mention my aunt owning the company, I got the job. It's rewarded my with 23 years of roofing experience. and knowledge.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with all types of roofing project customers. From retail out-of-pocket to insurance claim roof replacements and from shingle asphalt roofs to standing seam metal roofs, we cover it all.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We recently completed a roof replacement (06-20-21) on a house that was damaged by the recent hail storm. Our customer was a previous customer that we had helped 4 years earlier with a small roof repair. After she contacted us, we were able to meet with her insurance company and facilitate the complete approval of her hail damaged roof. 8 days later we completed the roof replacement in it's entirety and even upgraded her roof materials to an impact resistant shingle at no extra charge . Our customer was extremely happy with how quickly we were able to tend to her project but more importantly she was ecstatic as in such a tight time frame we still upheld our high standards of work and added a no charge upgrade. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My advice to customers is to do your research on any companies you are looking to hire. Check more than one referral site for reviews and diligently research the company's Better Business Bureau information. The more you understand a roofing company the better you are to decide if they're the right fit for you and your roofing project.
