What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We pride ourselves on full transparency. With our invoice comes copies of all receipts and payments for material and additional labor - all to assure that you are never blindly paying for things simply because the contractor says so!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We engage with the customer, get a detailed and realistic view of what they want to accomplish, and provide drawings/sketches and a quote showcasing labor and material estimates, timelines, and payouts.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Alma & Dune are a husband and wife team who have a general contractor's license as well as a realtor's license with Blackwell Realty as their agency.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

We fell in love with real estate and construction work when working on our own homes and helping friends around the Nashville area.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have worked with families, businesses, young couples, entrepreneurs, and many others!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We recently transformed the top floor for a repeat client. We renovated a full bathroom, created an entirely new bathroom with all custom tile and shower glass, removed carpets, installed and stain matched new floors, installed new fixtures, and even added a folding Murphy bed and pocket door.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Don't hesitate to be specific! We are very good at getting creative with ideas while also being very realistic and helping the customer understand what is possible and what each job entails.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Honesty and transparency is KEY. To be honest, we obtained our contractor's license because we did not have good experiences with contractors. We found many to be dishonest about the people they hire, the fees they charge, and the timeline they work in. We strive to correct all of that in our work, and we make sure it shows.
