Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
So we consider ourselves middle of the road when it comes to pricing. We do offer different discounts throughout the year as well as financing. There are some out there that will be cheaper but most likely in the end you will not be getting a properly installed roof and the materials you need to insure that it is. You will get some that will be a lot higher than us, and you still have the chance of inferior work. We are willing to work with you to accommodate your financial situation.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
It all starts with a phone call. Set up an appointment, and go from there. Normally depending on the job we can have an estimate for you on the spot. Repairs sometimes can be a little different where as certain materials may be needed but most times can also be a same day fix. We try to be as hassle free as possible… so however you need the process to go we will accommodate. Alot of times for roof replacement and siding the customers are not at home and we email an estimate to them. No more than 2 weeks to completion from signing date most of the time as well. Material and weather depending.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We have a variety of training in single ply commercial roofing, Asphalt shingles, Standing seam metal, the list goes on. On top of that we are OSHA trained and have numerous certifications for certain equipment needed at times.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started roofing when i was 15 years old. My friend’s father owned a business and I worked for him in the summers and after school until I graduated high school. From there i went to work for a commercial roofing company for 25 years whereI recieved a lot of experience in all types of roofing.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All types all ages all situations. We often say how we could start a reality TV show.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We were hired to replace stucco on with siding on a pool house. Originally this job was contracted to another company. Started with rep[lacing the siding on the house. When they got to the stucco they disappeared. At first sight we knew why. The stucco was in bad shape and was obvious that the wood underneath would be rotted. When we started removing it was even worse than we thought. Ended up having to rebuild the whole pool house inside and out. But with the experience and knowledge our men have of all trades we were able to complete the project without involving other trades. Very proud to be involved in this project!!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Just be careful, there’s a lot of sub par roofing going on out here. Cheaper isn’t always better in these situations and you want a properly installed roof, to protect your home for as long as its meant to. You also want your to meet the requirements of the warranty you’re being supplied. So many times I see homeowners have an issue with a newer roof and their manufacturer doesn’t honor the warranty because they used cheaper material or didn’t use the proper material in the right areas. Happens all the time, and there’s nothing that can be done.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1) Are you licensed and insured? 2) Are you sponsored by the manufacturer you’re selling? 3) Where do you purchase your material? 4) what kind of warranties do you offer?
