What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our service call is $110 and includes up to one hour of labor. After the first hour we bill at $110/hr in 15 minute increments.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We learn what you need, and suggest several time frames to work with your schedule. Once we have a time frame chosen, a Pro is scheduled to do the work and you will receive a text confirmation. When the Pro is on the way to your location, you will also receive a text alert. Upon arrival, the Pro will begin their time and work. The Pro will take after photos of your project, and any material receipts if applicable. Once the Pro has finished the work, you'll receive an invoice to your email, and can pay via debit or credit card.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Each of our Pros has a specialty in addition to being excellent HandyPros. We have a certified HVAC Pro, Plumbing Pro, Electrical and more!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

As a real estate investor, I found it challenging to get workers to show up and complete a full scope of work, keep track of receipts and manage multiple properties maintenance. I started STL HandyPros to provide transparency and accountability to the community, in addition to easy booking, fair pricing and good workmanship. I also understand the challenge of hiring unknown workers to enter your personal home. Our Pros have undergone a background check, have experience in the field and are professional and friendly offering peace of mind for online booking.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with a range of clients, from real estate investors, to homeowners to property managers, as well as landlords.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Recently we had a call from a landlord who had called 5 different electricians to a property that had an issue with kitchen outlets not working. They had replaced outlets and breakers and the issue continued to persist. We sent out one of our Electrician specialized HandyPros and he was able to determine within an hour, that one of the breakers had been missing its connection due to improper installation. The Pro fixed the issue, and fully tested the outlets, took photos of the final results and the client was billed just $85.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hire a company you can call on, and build a relationship with, that can get to know you by name and give you peace of mind when something goes wrong at your property.
