What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We offer free estimates. For roof replacement, we do not need to visit the customer's property before giving the estimate. We use satellite measurements. Discounts are offered based on demand and zip codes

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

1. Obtain customer's location. 2. Talk with the customer over the phone and discover project need. 3. Set up an appointment to visit to see the problem or project. 4. Provide the customer with an estimate for approval. 5. Sign a contract, obtain a city building permit if required, and complete the project.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a Mechanical engineer by profession. I attended a building school to learn building construction from foundation to the roof. That enabled me to sit for and pass the building examination before I got my license.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I purchased HUD houses from the City of Detroit, renovated them and flipped/rented them out for many years. I have a lot of experience in building renovation.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Different types of customers - homeowners, churches, condo managers, etc.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A roof replacement project where a fallen tree damaged the roof framing. I replaced/sistered in the rafters prior to roof replacement. This took me 1 1/2 days.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check the provider's license and customer reviews.
