What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We look over your project, listen to your needs and budget. We disclose all costs upfront, no hidden surprises, no extra fees.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We like to meet with you on site. Its important to get to see what your home looks like, what the current condition is of the roof and what you want to accomplish. Our guys are very knowledgeable and will take the time to answer all your questions and concerns. We are NEVER pushy or high pressure. We put together a written estimate for you to review and ask us any further questions you need answered. Deposit of 50% upfront so we can commit to materials and scheduling. Balance is due upon our completion and your satisfaction of the job. Warranty paperwork is given to you or filed with you to the manufacturer of the shingles.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am licensed in construction, specializing in roofing. I have worked in the industry for over 20 years. My experience includes residential and commercial roofing. We work on asphalt shingle roofs, barn metal roofs, and standing seam hidden fastener metal roofs. We can coordinate gutter repair or replacement. We repair and replace fascia and soffet if needed.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Members of my family have been in construction for years. I have subcontracted for Lowes, and worked for other contractors before starting RJ Mott Construction in 1999.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Our customers are predominately residential, personal homeowners whose house is their primary possession. We know their home is very important to them, and that they take pride in it. We care about making sure your roof is in top condition and installed correctly.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

All of our roofing projects are important to us! Generally our crew will be able to remove and replace a complete roof in 1-2 days.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check reviews- people will tell the truth about whether they were satisfied or unhappy. Things always come up, things just happen- so you want to go with someone who hangs in there and fixes anything that comes up or makes it right. Go with your gut instinct, pick someone who is genuine and sincere about taking care of you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

1-What are my options - can something be fixed or does it need to be replaced? 2- Do I have different shingles options and can you talk to me about the differences in price and quality so I can make the decision that is best for me. 3-Do you understand my budget? Roofs are a big project and we understand that, so lets make sure its affordable for you and your family.
