What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team at ProBuild Construction brings years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, along with specialized training in roofing, siding, decking, and exterior home improvements. Many of our team members have backgrounds in carpentry and construction management, and we continually invest in ongoing education to ensure we're providing the highest quality workmanship and service.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Early on, I worked alongside experienced contractors and quickly developed a passion for exterior work—especially roofing, siding, and deck building. Over time, I gained the skills, knowledge, and confidence to take on larger projects and eventually start ProBuild Construction. What began as a trade turned into a career I take a lot of pride in. There’s something really rewarding about improving someone’s home and seeing the transformation from start to finish.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We’ve worked with a wide range of customers, including homeowners, landlords, property managers, and small business owners. Whether it's a full roof replacement, a deck build, or a small exterior repair, we tailor our approach to fit each customer’s unique needs. We've completed projects for single-family homes, multi-unit properties. No matter the size or type of project, we pride ourselves on clear communication, reliable service, and quality results.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently completed a full exterior renovation that we're especially proud of. The project included a complete roof replacement with asphalt shingles, new cedar shake siding with expertly crafted weaved corners, detailed exterior trim with elegant moldings, and a stunning Brazilian Ipe wood deck.
This job was a great example of our team’s craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each element came together beautifully to enhance both the appearance and durability of the home. The rich tones of the Ipe decking and the classic look of the cedar shakes gave the property a timeless, high-end finish. The project took just over six weeks from start to completion, and the homeowner was thrilled with the transformation.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Check reviews, ask for references, and make sure they stand behind their work with warranties or guarantees. It’s also important to choose someone who listens to your needs and doesn’t pressure you into unnecessary upgrades. Quality work, honesty, and reliability should always come before the lowest price.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before reaching out, it’s helpful for customers to consider a few key questions:
What is my budget? Having a rough idea of your budget helps guide the scope and materials for the project.
What are my main goals? Are you focused on improving appearance, fixing a problem, increasing energy efficiency, or adding value?
What’s my ideal timeline? Knowing when you’d like the work to be completed helps with scheduling and planning.
Are there any specific materials or styles I prefer? Having an idea of the look or products you like can streamline the design process.
What’s the condition of the existing structure? Be prepared to share any known issues or past repairs.
Being clear on these points can make your first conversation with a contractor more productive and help ensure a smoother project from start to finish.
