When we meet a new customer, we know there are a lot of options to choose from when selecting a contractor. We don't believe in hard sales pitches or pressure situations. What we do is the educate the homeowner on roofing and the roofing process, we do a thorough walk of the roof to ensure we have the most accurate information to provide an estimate, we talk in detail about the materials we would use to do the project and then the most important step, we answer all of the homeowners questions and no question is too small. When we earn the business of a new customer, it's because we've earned their trust and they believe we will provide them the best service.

Just like everything else in the world, the roofing industry is constantly evolving. New products come out every year that can provide better benefits and protection for customers and their homes. We utilize training and classes provided by vendors, distributors and other roofing professionals to keep ourselves up to date and current with every product available. Staying educated is a priority to us so that we can offer the best products and services to our customers.

When I made the decision to move from commercial work into the residential side of home improvement, roofing is where I got started and it just stuck. We know it's not the most glamorous or the home improvement project that people get excited about but we enjoy every part of it.

We work with anyone that needs help with a roof project. From single shingle repairs to single family homes to apartment complexes with shingle roofs, we have done it all.

There are a lot of projects we remember for different reasons. One of them was an opportunity to work with a family that had been dealing with significant issues for a number of years and had been charged extremely high prices for very questionable patch work. Like a lot of people, this was a significant investment for them and they needed to know they were being taken care of. After a few visits and some great conversations, we were fortunate to earn the opportunity to work with them. We ended up needing to do some significant repairs to the rafters and decking in certain sections of the roof because of the water damage over time so it took us 2 days to complete but I will never forget the smile and gratitude we received when it was finished. I stopped by a few weeks later to pick up our sign from the yard and they told me I could keep it there as long as I would like. They said they never knew they would get so many compliments on a roof but they were happy to tell anyone who asked, who did the work.

Every roofing contractor buys their products from the same places and most will use one of the top 4 brands of shingles. So when it comes to selecting someone to work on your roof, you want to select a contractor that you trust and believe in. The roof is a very important piece in protecting your home and you shouldn't make a decision on it based only on a number.

For us, the more questions the better. We always try to cover everything in our conversations but every home and homeowner is unique and there is no exact set of questions that work for everyone. For some ones that are coming up more frequently in recent years are: Do you have plans to or think you would ever consider putting solar panels on your roof? This could effect the underlayment we may recommend and the overall cost of the project. If you have skylights, do you want to remove them or have them replaced while we are doing the roof? Skylights almost always leak over time and you don't want to have to do roof work right after replacing your roof. And because of the rising costs on materials, I think every customer should consider the timing of when they would like the roof work done. Unlike other materials, shingles have only gone up and continue to do so.
