What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
RULE #1: Cheaper is not always better (YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR). As a Home & Commercial Building Owner, I have learned that there will always be certain types of maintenance that is required and ALWAYS expect the unexpected. I always advise a owner to get a basic idea of the what they want and then have 3 specialized contractors quote them that general idea. Now in some cases there will be a emergency when you do not have the time to collect 3 quotes, in those times I always suggest calling out your most Experienced Contractor to get the emergency fixed even if its for a short period of time until you get all three quotes collected.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

1. Do some research and get a basic idea of what you want and remember pictures paint a thousand words. Once you have a general idea then have 3 specialized contractors quote you that same general idea. 2. Set a budget and then add 15% on top for unexpected costs that may arise. 3. Do your research on the contractor that you are about to hire and contact your local permit office to see if permits are required.
