We are a general contractor that specializes in green building retrofits offering services to residential and commercial property owners. We are a tech based company that uses new building practices, green materials and leveraging technology to improve energy efficiency and try to save you money on utilities. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We offer competitive pricing and will work with most budgets, we have a variety of products to accommodate the project purpose and needs. Call us to get an estimate.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Our first step is usually a phone call to get some details about your project to make sure we can service your needs adequate. If we are a match for the services needed, we set up an in person appointment on on site with the owner of the property to discuss scope of work and pricing. We have a very fast turn around and can usually present your an estimate on site. We email you a copy of the bid via docusign and once you sign it we can schedule work very quickly. Financing options are available for those who may need it.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We are a licensed General B Contractor, our staff is LEED certified and our crews have supervising management with over 30 years of experience in construction. Our desire for efficiency and sustainability push us to offer continuous training to our staff to improve on building practices and leverage technology to save money and time.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Our founders have been in the green building industry for many years working for various companies. The saw the need for an honest construction company that was focused on saving people money through the use of green building improvements that could also help the environment. At SLB we pride ourselves with being an honest group of individuals who want to help people get the most of their living structures and doing it in a sustainable way at an affordable cost.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have worked with various customers in both commercial and residential properties. We are happy to look at any project and welcome any type of project to improve efficiency of the property.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We recently worked on a church in Oakland and we were able to replace their roof, windows, reflective paint, HVAC, lighting and add solar. By doing all of these improvements they were able to offset the cost of the project with the savings from their utility and now have a much more efficient, comfortable building for their congregation with very little extra monthly cost.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure that you are compatible with who you choose to do business with and make sure that their general business practices and values match yours.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What are you trying to achieve? Doing it as cheap as possible or high quality or both? How will you pay for it? What is your time frame?
