Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of our favorite recent projects was a full roof replacement for a homeowner who had severe storm damage. The customer initially reached out thinking they would need just a few repairs, but after a thorough inspection, we discovered extensive wind and hail damage that had compromised the roof’s integrity.
We worked closely with the homeowner’s insurance company to ensure they received full coverage for a complete replacement.
Roof replacement took 1 day!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check Licensing & Insurance – Always verify that the contractor is fully licensed and insured. This protects you from liability in case of accidents or damage during the project.
Look for Manufacturer Certifications – A certified installer (such as GAF-certified) ensures proper installation and eligibility for extended warranties.
Read Reviews & Ask for References – Look for contractors with positive reviews on Thumbtack, Google, and other platforms. Don’t hesitate to ask for past customer references.
Get a Detailed Written Estimate – Avoid vague pricing. A professional contractor will provide a clear breakdown of materials, labor, and any potential additional costs.
Beware of Storm Chasers – After major storms, some out-of-town contractors may show up offering cheap repairs. Always choose a local, established company that will be around for warranty claims and future needs.
Ask About Warranties – A reputable contractor will back their work with a workmanship warranty in addition to manufacturer warranties on materials.
Don’t Just Go for the Lowest Price – While affordability is important, extremely low bids may indicate subpar materials or rushed labor. Focus on value and quality over the cheapest option
