What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Northmen Roofing provides a comprehensive statement of work and standard pricing for all customers after a thorough on-site roof inspection and consultation by a trained roofing professional. We do not use salesmen or high pressure sales practices - you will always get our best and fair price up front.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Please call or email to discuss your needs and set up an on-site inspection by a trained roofing professional. Northmen Roofing will follow up with a contract including pricing and a statement of work to be approved and signed electronically. Once approved, a project manager will reach out to arrange an appropriate time to complete the work. After the roof repair or replacement is complete every customer is followed up with to ensure all items on the statement of work have been completed to the customers satisfaction.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Northmen Roofing is a certified roofing contractor with skilled technicians in many disciplines including master carpentry, sheet metal fabrication and project management.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Northmen Roofing is a family owned business - a family that has always believed in hard work, sacrifice and "getting your hands dirty". Many years were spent learning various trades, eventually honing skills as a master carpenter and then getting into the roofing business as an expert at solving complex problems with high quality results.

What types of customers have you worked with?

While we specialize in high end roofing system repairs (spanish tile, slate tile, clay tile and commercial roofing) Northmen Roofing works with all residential, multi-family and commercial customers and roof types found in Central Florida with the exception of high rise commercial buildings.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

At Northmen Roofing we are fond of any project that results in a happy customer. We are always excited to inform customers they made a good decision by contacting a professional sooner than later and fixed a small problem before it caused tremendous damage!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Listen to your gut. If you feel like you are being "sold" a roof, over charged, getting a quote for a new roof when a repair will likely get the work done, you cannot get a hold of your project manager or you receive pricing sight unseen these are probably not your best sources for a new roof or repair. Your roof is one of the most costly parts of your home and a failing roof can cause substantial damage. Do not be afraid to insist on a professionals opinion and ask any questions needed.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What is the cost of not taking care of this issue now. Generally a small repair can save thousands of dollars and extend the life of an existing roof system. Always ask for a documented statement of work, firm price (not an "estimate"), and ask for the warranty policy.
