Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Most insurance companies underbid the roof based upon what already exists. Oftentimes, if the roof is dated, the singles and codes for each municipality are different from the time it was installed. Have a roofing professional compare local codes to the approved insurance scopes then submit a supplement. It is important to note that unless you have no code upgrade, the insurance should pay for the upgrades not YOU.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Usually, we meet, either directly or electronically. Then we prefer to check the roof area out and look for collateral damage on the property. Based on our findings, we give our client a recommendation to file a claim or to not file a claim. Oftentimes we assist with the entire claim filing process and meet with the adjuster on the roof.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
With over 13 years of experience, we are trained to install a variety of roofing systems-from shingles to metal roofing. Further, our industry provides for continuing education and various and sundry new techniques and product lines. We continuously upgrade our knowledge through training from GAF, Owens Corning, GACO, Boral, and other industry leaders.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Being disappointed with the integrity of several contractors I worked for in the past, we decided to only way to change the negative image of the industry was to own and run our own company. Thus we are committed to the highest level of integrity without sacrificing quality.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
From professionals, property managers, commercial building owners, to regular homeowners.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We re-roof and entire community center. The building was very old and in a state of disrepair. Not only were we able to make the required repairs to the structure and bring it up to code, but we were also able to stay within the budget allotted.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Check to see if the contractor is local. You can do that by checking with the Colorado Secretary of State. Although most out of state company do a good job with the installation, mistakes happen. And if your contractor is back in Florida for example, it is hard to get them to return to fix even a minor issue.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Know what you want and your budget. Different roofing systems obviously have different costs. Find out how far out they are to completing the job. After a hail storm, many contractors invest heavily in marketing (canvassing, social media, etc), but do not employ an adequate amount of roof installers to keep up with the influx of new roofs.
