Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Roofing has many different factors to consider when pricing. But generally speaking if the size of the roof and type of shingle to be installed is known, a rough starting quote can be offered without an initial inspection to the home.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Once a owner contacts ACR- we'll perform a free, no-obligation inspection of the home. If an insurance claim is already in hand, we can work directly with the insurance company on behalf of the owner to insure the claim is maximize to cover all costs (minimizing any out of pocket costs for the owner). Once the claim and/or pricing is approved by both parties, we're ready to schedule the work!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have 15 years in residential construction management. The past 2 years have been devoted entirely to exterior hail damage claims. This includes roofing, siding, windows, gutters and paint.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I've spent 15 years in the construction industry. Over the past 2 years, I've been a Production Manager for a local roofing and repair company.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All types. New buyers, realtors, homeowners, insurance agents and other roofing contractors.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Re-roofing a close personal friends home was the most rewarding job to date- as it was the first job I actually sold. It was a great learning experience for both parties and really gave me the confidence to move forward into a sales position (vs. solely production management).

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Take your time and research your contractors. Don't be afraid to obtain a couple bids before making the right decision. Your home is your biggest investment, make sure your contractor knows that and is respectful and aware of any concerns you may have.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Attempt to educate yourself as much as possible online or simply by asking questions about the work at hand. The more information or questions you bring to the table, the smoother the process can be!
