Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Our goal is to offer excellent workmanship and materials at a fair price. We also offer senior, military, first responder, and healthcare professional discounts.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Here at Desert Peak your time is important and our estimating software allows us to have a streamlined process. When we show up to your home we will be ready to do a full roof inspection followed by a consultation to discuss our findings, and we will present you with an estimate on the spot! No waiting around for a week or two to hopefully get an estimate by email and then having to decipher the details on your own. Once we agree to the details of the work we can sign the contract and get your work scheduled.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Our team has years of roofing experience and we are one of only 5% of contractors in the country that is certified through GAF roofing products.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After leaving the real estate industry I started as a project manager for a contractor. When I noticed that I didn’t like the direction things were going and customer service/quality were slipping, I teamed up with my business partner and life long friend to start Desert Peak Roofing so that we can provide the customer service and quality of workmanship that we would expect if it were us hiring a contractor to work on our homes.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All types. Residential, commercial, self-pay, finance, insurance claims, etc.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We had a customer that wanted to update the tile on his home. We removed almost 3,000 tiles from the roof and replaced them with a more modern looking tile. The difference in the curb appeal of the home was incredible! The project took about 4 days start to finish.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Pay attention to their process from the initial meeting (professionalism), to presenting the inspection findings, and knowledge about how to best get your roof repaired or replaced. These things can be a pretty good indicator of how the rest of the job will go and the type of workmanship that you can probably expect.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What is the ideal balance between price versus quality? The cheapest is not always the best, and the best is not always the cheapest. Are you wanting to do business with someone that offers an excellent warranty and will be there if you need repairs in the future?
