unfold fold
At Legacy Roofing, we’re proud to honor our military personnel and first responders with a dedicated 5% discount on our roofing services—a heartfelt thank you for their exceptional service.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Our Process for Working with New Customers: Appointment Scheduling: Once you book an appointment with our CSR team, we provide a two-hour window for our estimator’s arrival. On the Way Notification: When our roofing consultant is en route, you'll receive a text with their photo and a tracking code to monitor their progress. Initial On-Site Meeting: Upon arrival, the consultant introduces themselves and discusses any concerns you may have before inspecting the roof. Inspection & Estimates: The consultant conducts a thorough inspection and returns with detailed repair or replacement estimates, including documentation of the inspection. We provide multiple estimates so you can choose the best corrective action for your needs. Approval & Material Order: After you decide on the approach, the consultant places the material order. For projects over $5,000, a 25% deposit is collected. Scheduling & Work Commencement: Once the material timeline is confirmed, we schedule an install or repair date. Our team then proceeds with the work, taking photos of the progress. Managing Unforeseen Issues: Any unexpected issues, such as deteriorated decking, are promptly brought to your attention along with a change order if necessary. Completion & Final Walk-Through: When the job is finished, a final walk-through is conducted with the supervisor and payment is collected.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Our team prioritizes safety and ongoing education. Our supervisors hold an OSHA 30 certification, and our installers carry an OSHA 10 certification. Additionally, we regularly engage in continuing education through our material suppliers, ensuring we stay current with certifications and best practices for the diverse roofing systems we install.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER Toby Ebarb, raised in Prescott AZ, founded Legacy Roofing in 2009. Toby brings over 30 years of experience in the roofing industry to Legacy Roofing. After having been raised in Prescott, Toby Ebarb founded Badger Roofing in Prescott in 1994. He then grew the company to be the largest in Northern Phoenix and sold it in 2006. Toby took advantage of the years between the sale of Badger Roofing in 2006 and the start-up of Legacy Roofing in 2009 to spend time with his family—his wife of 29 years, Nancy, and their six children. Toby is experienced in all roofing applications—whether new construction or remodel projects—and specializes in leak detection. Toby believes that being personally accessible to his clients is of utmost importance, and his first priority is to exceed customer expectations. Toby remains committed to establishing Legacy Roofing as a benchmark local business of integrity, value, service, and commitment to every customer.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We have extensive experience working with a diverse range of customers, including homeowners, property managers, general contractors, and insurance companies. For each client, we prioritize clear communication and a process-driven approach to ensure a quality final product. Our commitment is to provide a 5-star experience—if any issues arise, we address them promptly, correct the situation to the customer's satisfaction, and continuously improve our processes for future projects.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We recently completed a large shingle reroof project for a condo community. Initially, an insurance claim presented a challenge, as the insurer’s offer didn’t cover the investment needed to meet industry standards. We provided a detailed scope of work and cost breakdown, which convinced the insurance company to approve our proposal on behalf of their client. Once negotiations were finalized over several weeks, the actual reroofing took just 7 weeks to complete. During the project, we efficiently managed work across 14 structures—ranging from 3,000 to 8,000 sq. ft.—while maintaining clear communication and a safe work environment for the tenants.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When choosing a roofing provider, ensure they are fully licensed and insured—always ask for current proof. Check online reviews and obtain 2-3 detailed estimates that include a complete scope of work, so you’re comparing apples to apples. Keep in mind that the best value isn’t necessarily the lowest price; significantly lower quotes may indicate a company that’s less established, which could affect long-term reliability and warranty support. Look for a provider that demonstrates professionalism and clear communication throughout the process.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before reaching out to professionals, it's important to consider several key questions to ensure you select a reputable provider: Licensing & Insurance: Is the company properly licensed and insured, and can they provide current proof? Reputation: Have I checked online reviews or received referrals from previous customers? Estimates: Am I prepared to get 2-3 detailed estimates, and do these include a comprehensive scope of work? Scope of Work: Does each estimate clearly outline what’s included in the project, leaving no room for ambiguity? Comparative Value: How do the estimates compare in terms of quality and detail—not just the bottom-line price? Long-Term Reliability: Is the provider established enough to honor warranties and support long-term project needs?
