What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We always have a promotions. We have instant rebates on our equipment. We have same as cash financing options. Our Friends & Family Club Members receive 20% discounts on repairs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

It is very simple. A member of our office team will collect basic contact information and create a customer profile and schedule a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. Once we know what the problem is, we will either fix it on the spot or create an estimate for the customer to approve the repair.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

You can go to a trade school for HVAC or an apprentice with a master in the trade. We bring in technical experts to work with our technicians and also send them to continuing education seminars. We also have software that we have invested in to be continually sharpening their technical knowledge.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started right out of high school as a HVAC helper. After a few years of learning the trade I started doing Subcontractor work for larger businesses. In 2015 I founded Holy City Heating & Air with a rundown pick-up truck, bag of tools and desire to do a good job. Now eight years later, that hard work has paid off and Holy City has over 20 trucks on the road helping families all across the Lowcountry.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have both residential and commercial customers. We have customers South of Broad and customers in the rural areas on the outskirts of Charleston. We service vacation rentals etc. If you have HVAC or Plumbing needs we can help.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We changed out the rooftop package units for Wellhung Vineyard on Market Street downtown. Of course, that required the use of a large crane blocking the street for several hours since you really can’t block Market Street for hours we did the job overnight starting at 11 PM and finishing at 5 AM.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Warranties are very important & so is the quality of the equipment.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

You can’t know what you don’t know. Just ask your technician lots of questions and to provide you with all of your available options so that you can make an informed decision.
