Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I do occasionally have discounts on certain projects so if you’re wanting to do a big project it might be worth your while to keep checking back.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First I Introduce myself, find out a little bit about the customer, or a lot if they prefer. Last, I listen to what the customer wants or needs done.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I didn’t go to school to get my licenses. I did on the job training, which I found is crucial to succeed. I’ve also gone through many continuing education classes to keep my licenses current and various advanced classes like Medical Gas Training in order to run medical lines in hospitals.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I married into it in 2000 and loved it ever since.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All different types.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Running new sewer, gas, and water lines to an apartment that the customer is building for their children to live in.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure that they are licensed, insured, communicate well and most importantly, sign a contract.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
If they want to, they can think of a lot of different details for their particular project. OR they can wait until discussing their project with the pro. A lot of times having a conversation with a professional will change your mind about a lot of specific details. That’s why it’s not always important to think of things ahead of time.
