What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We don't charge by the hour. We charge by the job. Which is why we offer free estimates. It gives a customer a chance to meet us and to compare prices. We're not always the lowest but we are price competitive and strive for excellence in all aspects of every job.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We set up a time convenient for the customer. We never charge for estimates. We also will accommodate a convenient time after 5 or on weekends to accommodate a customers work schedule

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Studied at TVI for 3 years, and apprenticeship and on the job training with local 412 plumbers union. 25 years experience in the field.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Did my first job as a plumbers helper and loved the work. I stuck with it and enjoy what I do.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Most customers are very plesant and like when we meet new customers in hopes of continued friendships as well as a professional relationship. If we have a satisfied customer we know we acheved our goal.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

The Gas Company of New Mexico took a customers meter due to a gas leak (which is their common procedure for safety reasons). We got on the job immediately to have the gas back on in as soon as possible. We got our inspection and meter set in a timely manner just in time as colder weather is on the way.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When calling a plumber, it is usually better to get a set price up front so there are no surprises. One plumber may charge you $100.00 for a job and another $1, 000.00 for the same job. Ask if they charge for an estimate prior to having a plumber sent out (a small fee is pretty common due to gas prices but is usually taken off the price if the estimate is accepted)

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Time, money and warranty. I think by asking how long a project will take is first to free up your time if you need to be home for the repair. Getting a price up front protects you for unexpected charges. And how long is the project warranted for. A good contractor should be able to supply you with all this information and put it in writing.
