Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We give a 10% military discount with proof. Our prices are extremely competitive.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
After I reach a customer or the customer calls me, I set up an appointment to come out and look at the job. And then I give them a free estimate. Tell them how much materials and labor will cost. And then we set up a date for the project and discuss the timeline and how long the project will take to complete.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I don't have any formal education on being a handyman. I got started in the construction business about 15 years ago. It started out as a hobby. I have a cousin that is a master carpenter. And he taught me everything he knows. And then after I retired a few years back and moved to Florida from Texas, I decided to do something I love- which is carpentry and construction.

I have residential customers and commercial customers, but I mainly work with residential.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I completely remodeled a 2 story home in Port St. Joe and it turned out amazing and it took 6 months. Bathrooms, kitchen, paint etc.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would tell them to read the Pros reviews, ask lots of questions and get more than one estimate.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
They should figure out what type of budget they have to spend, how much time they have before they need the project finished and pick out what type of materials they want to use if that applies to the project. Such as, if it were a fence: what type of fence? Wood, chain, vinyl ? etc.
