Our family has been in the Fort Collins area for 4 generations, and our crew has more than 220 years of combined experience across all three trades. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

There is a dispatch fee of $49 to assign one of our technical experts to your home to perform a full evaluation of the work request, and offer options and pricing to do the work. This fee is waived if you choose to move forward with the work.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We need your name, address, phone number, and email address. We also need confirmation that you are the owner of the property. It takes about 6 minutes to get you in our system and schedule an appointment, when done over the phone. This can all be done directly over our website when you click the "Book Now" link.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We employ multiple master-level and journeyman-level electricians and plumbers. HVAC technicians also carry appropriate certifications for the work done.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Jason Visnic, the owner, began working as an electrician in the Fort Collins area in the year 2000. As of this writing, Jason and his wife Melissa employ 34 employees, and our company has grown by an average of 33% each year since we opened for business in 2008.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with homeowners primarily, but we also work for business owners, general contractors, restoration businesses, and government agencies.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We do over 1000 unique projects throughout each year, some take hundreds of hours and some take a few minutes. Our goal is to help people. If we have shown value and earned a 5 star review, mission accomplished!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hire a contractor who is licensed (we are) and who always pulls permits and takes safety seriously (we do). We would not recommend hiring a company that does not have a 4.9 or 5.0 star rating on Google AND Yelp (we do). Also, be aware that private equity firms have a massive presence in our industry (including some well known local companies that used to be family owned) - If you hire a family owned company (like us), you are assured that you are important: "People are the Priority" is a core value of Limelight Services.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

You should be 100% satisfied with the company you hire. Ask questions that will ensure your expectations are understood and addressed.
