What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We offer estimates and options for the repair onsite. Warranty is given for our work. Discounts are given to new customers.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to ask to get a little more information on the issue and let new customers know what needs to be done to resolve that issue. An appointment will then be set up according to their availability and we go from there. Options and estimate for the repair will be provided that suits customers needs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My father recently retired with 40 years of experience in the field and he has passed on a great deal of knowledge to me. I also worked for a big plumbing company for years cleaning all sorts of drain clogs on daily basis.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

When I found out my dad was going to retire soon, I didn't want all that knowledge and equipment to go to waste. I've decided to change career paths and I'm very happy that I've made this decision. Thus, forming ASAP Plumbing Pros.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with basically everyone. I've worked in old houses to newly renovated homes to big commercial buildings. I've worked with many different personalities.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We cleaned out someone's sewer line thinking it was your typical job putting in a snake and clearing the blockage. What we didn't anticipate was that they managed to flush hundreds of wet wipes down the toilet. Upon putting in my snake and shoving it in until I lose leverage only to take out 10-20 wipes at a time. We thought we would never leave. Hours later, the line cleared and everything started draining properly! We were so relieved but this shows the kind of work ethic our company has. Many plumbers would have walked away from this job.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hire a plumbing company with reputable reviews. Check out all of their poor reviews and find out what customers are complaining about. Make your decision based on a company you can trust.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Ask yourself what may have caused the issue. Never call a professional if you've just used a chemical drain cleaner such as draino. If you do, wait 24-48 hours before calling a pro. Draino makes the pipes fragile and operating a snake can burst your pipes. Additionally, it is dangerous for professionals to work on a drain with draino inside.
