We use flat rate, by the job pricing. This means that you will know the total price before you ever approve any work. It is a common practice to win jobs by quoting low prices but then when problems arise or the job takes longer than expected, the costs will climb. We know what is involved in completing jobs and the problems that are commonly encountered. With upfront pricing there are no surprises as you know the price in advance. If the job takes longer than expected, then there is no additional cost to the customer. If everything runs smoothly then we are out of your way sooner. Either way, the price we quote is the final price.

It is very difficult to estimate electrical or plumbing work without seeing the project. We usually send one of our licensed electricians or plumbers out to the home to assess what is needed. Once they've seen it, then they can give the customer an exact price for any upgrades, repairs or troubleshooting services.

All of our technicians are background checked, drug tested highly trained and experiences. Most of them participate in continuing education and trade related courses. Point Loma Electric and Plumbing holds licenses as a C10 electrical contractor, a B general contracting license, C36 plumbing license and C20 HVAC license. At this time we provide electrical and plumbing services.

We have worked with all types of customers from the most minor repairs to large commercial jobs. At this time Point Loma Electric and Plumbing focuses on residential repairs, installations upgrades. We offer whole house re-pipe services and rewires as well as a full range of plumbing services including water heaters, gas lines, water treatment, drain and sewer repairs. We specialize in working on older homes.

We do many electrical upgrades ranging from panel upgrades to replacement of all the switches and plugs, to full house rewiring. Most projects take from 1 to 5 days. A full house rewire typically takes 4-10 days depending on the size of the home, the type of construction and the amount of personal possessions that need to be moved to access the wall.

Electrical work is not a commodity! Just because something works does not mean it was wired correctly or is safe. Please check references and look on the CSLB.gov and make sure they are licensed and carry workman's compensation insurance. If anyone tells you they have a license and insurance check for yourself. If they don't have workman's compensation insurance and show up at your house with a helper or anyone else, then you are at risk.

Be careful to hire a licensed professional with insurance and a good reputation. Make sure they have been in business for a long time so you will know you can find them if you ever need them again.
