My name is Todd Mainberger, I am licensed friendly and extremely knowledgeable plumber. My father established Main Plumbing in 1976 and I finally took over the family business in 2019. I personally have been plumbing for almost 30 years, even longer if you consider the time I spent as a child helping my father at work. I love my job and you will see that through my work. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer very competitive pricing. Please understand that Thumbtack charges pros for every lead we receive whether we are hired for the job or not. Due to this I unfortunately cannot offer free estimates through Thumbtack. However I will waive the estimate/service fee if you choose to go with me. Also prices listed are a base price. Water Heaters: 40 Gallon -$2300. 50 Gallon -$2500. Tankless Water Heater Flush -$325

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I come and meet the customer, carefully assess the issue or project and then provide the customer with a competitive fair price.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a licensed plumbing contractor. I have 28+ years experience in the industry. I have hands on experience in all plumbing areas. Always updating my knowledge with all plumbing material and supplies.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I grew up in a family of plumbers. My father started his plumbing career in Germany before moving to the United States. My grandfather started the first plumbing supply house in Orange County well known as Penn Pipe and Supply. I worked with both of these men from a young child until I was able to branch off on my own.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with a variety of customers such as Orange County Cemeteries, small businesses high traffic commercial buildings, contractors and residential homeowners.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I have to say I am fond of all my work. However watching an empty dirt lot turn into a beautiful home and know that I was able to do all the plumbing from the ground up made me very proud.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do your due diligence, verify license, insurance, reputation and make sure your getting a fair price.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Exactly what needs to get done if it is a plumbing emergency or simple repair. What goals they are trying to achieve if it is a new build or home improvement project.
