South Texas Area Agency on Aging

The South Texas Development Council Area Agency on Aging is the state's visible advocate and leader in providing of a comprehensive and coordinated continuum of services and opportunities so that older people can live dignified, independent, and productive lives. We serve the Four County region of Webb, Zapata, Starr and Jim Hogg. The Agency's goals are to enable older Texans to live dignified, independent and productive lives within a safe living environment through an accessible, locally based, comprehensive and coordinated continuum of preventive care, and to provide Information and assistance services to persons age 60 years or older, regarding nutrition, social recreation services, transportation services, legal aid services, homemaker services, benefit counseling and case management.
