Introduction
Domestic violence comes in many forms including physical abuse, emotional/verbal abuse, financial abuse, and sexual abuse. If family violence is a part of your life, or the life of someone you know, help is now available close to home. The Alpine Women?s Center wants you to know that you have options! Through a two year, Communities First grant from the California Endowment, the Alpine Women?s Center is now funded to provide comprehensive services for families affected by violence. Services include crisis intervention, peer counseling, individual counseling with a Master-level counselor, advocacy and accompaniment through the medical and legal processes, assistance with preparing documents for temporary restraining orders and child custody issues, emergency transportation and the Emergency Domestic Violence Shelter Program.
