What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer numerous discounts including first service discount of $20 if they sign up for recurring service.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to meet with them if possible and discuss their needs. I submit most of my estimates and invoices through quickbooks to the customer’s email. They can pay invoices by credit card through the invoice confidentially. I also use various payment apps. Cash and check are always accepted too.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Air Force heavy equipment technical school.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started at a young age mowing grass at my parents’ house. I found that I enjoyed the work and being outdoors. I’ve been around lawn care and landscaping most of my adult life and have been a professional in the field for 5 years now.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Commercial and residential.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Any flower bed project where the landscaping has not been maintained. I enjoy cleaning up the flower beds and mulching. It’s instant gratification and really boosts a homes curb appeal.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Meet with them in person if possible and make sure they are licensed and insured. Too many individuals out there mow a few yards for extra money but aren’t true professionals.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

How long has the professional been in the field? Are they licensed and insured? Have they completed projects similar to the one you are asking them to do?
