Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I offer discounts for military, police, first responders and healthcare workers. They give us our freedom, they keep us safe and save us from terrible illnesses. God Bless them all!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I’m extremely patient with them and it’s extremely important to be on time and polite. I understand that they are possibly nervous about having a stranger coming into their home, so it’s important for them to feel safe with me right away.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a SC residential home builder

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I grew up in auto repair and towing and after doing that for so long I decided it wasn’t my true passion. That’s when I started traveling all over the USA building retirement homes and that was my true passion. Once I had a family I settled in Myrtle Beach and started doing residential work. That’s when I realized I loved getting to work with many different customers through my day.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I work with all types of customers. Every single job I do gets the same amount of attention if it’s a big commercial job or if it’s just resetting a breaker.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I’m fond of all of my projects but one that has meant a lot to me is a commercial building that’s has had bad drainage and water coming inside. Why it’s important to me was because they hired multiple contractors through the years to fix this problem and it never got fixed. It was a very stressful job because it was a concrete block building so trying to find where this water was getting in was challenging. After a couple of days of digging and taking things apart we found the problems. We fixed those problems and they haven’t had an issue since.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Hire someone who has a true and honest passion for the trade they are in. For me a happy customer is more important than the money itself.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Not much really. We understand a lot about what we do so it’s easy for us. The only thing that helps me a lot is to know if they have new items or they want the old ones repaired. Helps me better prepare.
