Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I have no fees, all estimates are free. On landscaping jobs I typically ask for 1/2 down to book the job and get the bulk of materials. We have a year round program that covers everything from fertilizer to weed spray to leaf removal and mowing, or we can customize a program just for you.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I always explain the process and what it entails. I want to be as up front as possible so they know what to expect

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
To be my own boss, and not be constrained to a desk. Meeting people and doing an awesome job, seeing the smiles....Hard work, long hours; but the people are worth it!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Mow, trim, weed ;pretty much all services we do are used evenly, just different times of the year.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I currently finished a 22x17 paver patio that I did by hand. The gate to the backyard was small and we could not get the equipment we needed back there. 2 weeks from start to finish, but please understand that leveling the ground and then leveling each brick as they were laid is very time consuming

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Know what you are looking for. Just because the bid is the cheapest doesn't mean the work won't be great and the most expensive doesn't mean the work will be that great either. Call the people who bid for your services and spend 5 minutes talking abouit what you want....Go with your gut!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
How much it will cost, I think it is best to have a budget and stick with it. If you ask what are the possibilities of incurring extra charges, I believe you are setting yourself up to be overcharged.
