What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I'm very fair. The average mowing price I charge is $38.00. For other services, like fall or spring cleanup I charge about $25.00 per hour, but, sometimes I work by the project rather than per hour.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Usually I go to the property first and meet with the customer to be clear about what they expect.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Experience with my own yards. My interest started when I bought my first house. I had never mowed a lawn before that. From there I learned and applied my skills to other houses I bought and sold. It made sense that the yard was a selling point.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started by responding to labor gigs on craigslist when I was unemployed in 2007. Soon after I got a new job, but continued doing this type of work on a part time basis.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Lawn mowing, plant, weed and mulch garden areas. Trim and reshape shrubs and small trees. Leaf cleanup, painting. Shed cleaning and reorganizing.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

This project was a 2 year project: Last year someone hired me to trim down and reshape their very over grown yard. My customer was so happy she sent me notes like "the yard never looked so good!" and "please come back next year". The following year my customer sold the property rather quickly. On to the next one!

I am dependable, reasonable, treat their properties as if they were my own.
