Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is always competitive with the other lawn care and landscaping providers in the area, and we are always willing to work with any customer to meet their needs within the parameters of their budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I ask a lot of questions and try and listen. I’ll recommend ideas if I feel the customer is needing that. But I find that most customers know what they want, and simply want to know if I see their vision.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I’ve done landscaping and lawn care at a professional or personal level for 25 years. I’ve been a small business owner for 20 plus years. I know how to manage people and equipment. And I know how to get the results that the customer requests from myself, my people and my equipment.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I love the outdoors, I love the sight of a perfectly manicured yard and I love the smell of fresh cut grass. Couldn’t think of a better way to incorporate those things into my daily life than to start a landscaping, lawn care business that brings my love of those things to the people of northwest Arkansas.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure the provider takes as much pride in his work as you do your yard. If they aren’t in love with the idea of making your yard look immaculate, then they aren’t right for the job.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers should always consider their budget and what is most important to them in the project. I find that in most jobs there is one main objective the customer is trying to reach and then the other stuff is add on projects. The customer should always know what they want done the most and what they are willing to pay, that way they can add it subtract additional jobs to the project according to cost and need.
