Introduction

Chandlar earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Salt Lake City, where her passion for creating stunning, personalized spaces truly took off. After graduation, she honed her skills working with several high-end design firms, building an impressive portfolio and sharpening her craft. But Chandlar always dreamed of starting her own firm—and in 2019, that dream became a reality when she founded Chandlar Glassett Interiors with the support of her husband, Cody. What started as a one-woman show quickly blossomed into Glass House Collective, a thriving full-service interior design business. The name is not only a nod to her own name, but also a celebration of the teamwork it takes to design beautiful, functional spaces that truly feel like home. Chandlar’s design philosophy is rooted in creating spaces that feel timeless yet fresh, comfortable yet sophisticated. She gravitates toward a transitional style, artfully blending traditional elements like panel moulding and beautiful draperies with modern touches, such as bold light fixtures or statement chairs. Her designs are layered, inviting, and never “stuffy,” striking the perfect balance between livable comfort and polished style. Known for her thoughtful approach, Chandlar tailors each project to reflect her clients’ unique energies, needs, and lifestyles. Her goal is to ensure every space feels like it was designed specifically for the people living there—not for her. She loves incorporating natural materials and adding personality with funky patterned tiles, textiles, or wallpaper. While she embraces trends selectively, Chandlar encourages her clients to focus on what they truly love. She helps refine their preferences into spaces that feel current and enduring—never overly trendy or outlandish. Her clients appreciate that her designs are full of personality, avoiding the monotony of all-white spaces while maintaining timeless appeal. When she’s not designing dream spaces, Chandlar loves spending time with her husband, their two adorable sons, and their playful Miniature Australian Shepherd, Ace. Whether she’s growing her family or her business, Chandlar is all about creating a life—and spaces—that feel joyful, personal, and uniquely hers.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Pricing is typically charged at an hourly rate dependent on project scope. We also offer a few different packages to fit client needs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We'll start with a short phone consultation to see if we are a good fit. Following the call, a contract will be emailed to the client outlining our services and the cost for the project. Once the contract is signed, we will jump in wherever the client needs help!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I received my Bachelors degree in Interior Design in 2017 and have worked for multiple high-end design firms through-out the state of UT. I have been running my own design business since June of 2019.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Design was always something I was passionate about so I went to college right out of high school and haven't looked back!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All kinds! I love meeting new people and helping them find design solutions. We work a lot on new construction projects, remodels, or even 1-2 room projects!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently helped an awesome couple design a detached pool house! The space doubles as an office for the husbands work from home needs. The client wanted an ultra-modern design with some funky elements. It turned out great!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Take it seriously, but also make sure it's still fun! Design is hard work, but should be kept lighthearted and fun. Don't sweat the small stuff because that is my job and we will take care of every detail for you! This is a luxury service and we want to make sure you feel completely taken care of.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Do some research on what a realistic budget is for your project. Often times clients don't realize what it actually takes to achieve the beautiful photos they see on instagram or Houzz. We can help you come up with a realistic budget if you're unsure, but make sure to come prepared with some design element you're drawn to!
