Introduction

Until I am satisfied with the project, I won't expect my customer to be. It's that simple. When I complete the job, stand back, and my client has a smile on their face, loving what they see.

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Meet with them and see what thier project is all about. Listen, and respect thier wishes. I try to give advise if asked. This is thier project, thier renovation, so I pay attention to the details.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Being in the Engineering field all my life, I have learned several different trades. I worked for over 20 years in the electrical industry. During that time I have helped several professionals in thier trade. I have installed numerous HVAC systems in the Chattanooga area. When the economy started faltering, I started working for more steady companies. During that time, I allowed my General Contractor's license laps. I am now in the process of getting these renewed. My license number is #46484. But I don't want to lead anybody in the wrong direction and say that I am licensed until I have it renewed.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I have done 2 kitchen remodels that stand out the most for me. One of theses was a rather large scale project, for Gina H, consisting of cabinets being enlarged to accommodate newer appliances and new doors, new flooring, the Kitchen Island was given a face lift, new tile flooring, knock down finish on the walls, backsplash, and under counter lighting. Plus a few other features. The second one, had similar upgrades, but was a challenge because I had to get in and get out quickly. The home owner was very surprised and happy with final outcome. I have a picture of it in posted.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be leery of Professionals that ask for half down up front. Reputable Professionals have an account (s) set up with vendors who allow at least 30 days to pay off your purchases. Large projects, which stretch out over a longer period of time, may require incremental payments, or draws. These are only paid out after curtian phases of the project are complete.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
On remodeling projects, the more you have thought out and know what you want when completed, the less "gotchas" are going to happen thru the stages project. A written list of requirements, or anot itemized contract with your professional leaves any doubt as by anyone what is expected as far as materials, or the end result.
