Introduction

Customers should think about hiring me because Im an owner operated company that is FULLY INSURED and BONDED to ensure customers ease of mind. I also do not have huge overhead cost like large contractor companies which ends in savings. As most of my clients say I have an exceptional quality of work and will make sure your job is 100 percent to your liking before departing.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I always try to be reasonable and competitive with all proposals and if there is a way to save I will let it be known. I always attempt to find saving on material and use multiple suppliers to achieve that.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have occupational safety and health training for both workers and supervisors! Safety always comes first! I also have a two year residential construction and building trades degree. I am a qualified rigger, certified scaffolding erector, certified boom lift operator, certified welder and considered a competent person by OSHA to oversee safety and training also upheld by the IAOIW. I am also trained to read architectural drawings!!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I always loved working with my hands at a young age and it inspired me to complete a 2 yr degree in construction and building trades before graduating high school. At age 18 I didn’t go to the office but I built it along with my first career as a union iron worker for local 60 of Syracuse and still hold my membership 12 years strong. After lots of hard work in the Ironwork field helping build the SU Dome and multiple buildings on Cornell campus I decided there be no one better to invest in but myself. So that welcomes White’s Building and remodeling!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with highly educated architects to customers not knowing the process but have an idea of what they want.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Many larger contractors over bid work if there not interested or have plenty of work booked yrs out. Getting a lower bid does not always mean lesser quality work. Hire owner operated contractor companies!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
- What are the tasks/jobs are to be performed and timeline? The contractor hired should be able to answer question and concerns involved with the project and give a step by step guideline. - What materials would u like to be used? ( flooring for example. Tile, vinyl or hard wood)
