Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Estimates are free, unless we are reading blueprints. We’re fairly priced for the quality we provide. Itemized estimates are not free.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First, I will confirm a good day and time to schedule an in person introduction at a potential clients home or business. I will listen to all of their ideas and dreams then answer basic questions. Finally, the potential client will provide me with an email address we can send the estimate to. Easy-Peasy.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
5 years doing residential and commercial HVAC. 15 years in the carpenters union managing and running all sized projects.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
As a kid, I Worked with my grandfather in his wood shop.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Types? Not sure how to address that question. I guess we work with people who want a quality job done and understand that lowest bidder won’t provide the same quality because not all craftsmanship is created equal.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Full condo renovation in Edgewater. Clients moved out so we can speed the process up. We have them 2 brand new gorgeous bathrooms, new master bedroom suit and all the bells and whistles.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Ask for references. Look at past work completed by them. Gut feelings usually play a big roll too.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Do I have a budget set aside for the size project I want done? Do I have extra money set aside for unforeseen expenses? Do I have to move out for this project? Are permits required? Do I need an interior designer to help with selections, purchasing, layouts, colors, etc?
