How did you get started doing this type of work?

Construction has been a passion of mine from a young age. My family owned a lumber yard in Israel, where I spent my childhood observing skilled craftsmen turn raw materials into finished products. At 21, I moved to California and began managing residential framing projects, working closely with homeowners. I quickly realized my passion for designing and building spaces that truly impact people’s lives. This led me to obtain my General Contractor B license and establish Inspired Builders. Today, IB is dedicated to helping homeowners bring their remodeling and renovation dreams to life with innovation, efficiency, and craftsmanship.

What types of customers have you worked with?

At Inspired Builders, we work with everyone—from first-time homeowners to seasoned property investors. We believe in building relationships, not just structures. Every project, regardless of size, is handled with the same level of dedication, respect, and professionalism. Our approach is simple: clear communication, high-quality craftsmanship, and exceptional service for all.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

One of my favorite projects was an outdoor covered patio addition in Pleasanton—a true transformation that turned a simple backyard into a luxurious retreat. It started with a homeowner’s dream: a space where they could entertain guests, enjoy family time, and relax with a breathtaking mountain view in the background. They envisioned something seamless, elegant, and functional—a place that felt like an extension of their home, blending indoor comfort with the beauty of the outdoors. We built a 700 sq. ft. covered patio with a full outdoor kitchen and bar, a grand fireplace, and multiple seating areas. The homeowners wanted year-round usability, so we installed built-in heaters and carefully positioned the seating to take advantage of the stunning landscape. Surrounding this space was an additional 1,200 sq. ft. of open patio, providing plenty of room for outdoor dining and gatherings. The process took six months, from demolition to completion. As the final details came together—the warm glow of the fireplace, the sleek countertops of the outdoor kitchen, the perfectly framed sunset view—we saw the homeowners’ vision come to life. Their excitement and joy made this project incredibly rewarding. It’s now a space where they host friends, enjoy cozy nights by the fire, and make lifelong memories. Seeing this transformation was a reminder of why we do what we do—creating beautiful, functional spaces that truly enhance our clients’ lives. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
