What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Projects have several variables when estimating a price. Size, material cost, etc. Many of these discussions can happen virtually and a ballpark price can be given via phone or email.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After establishing contact information and way to communicate, begin to understand how to beat suite their needs and desires. Then come up with a plan and pricing to deliver on that project.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started as a laborer for a construction company at 19 years old. I worked for many years and learned by helping the tradesman on jobs, to learning the trades myself. Then further onto project and business management.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Decks are our thing! A normal sized deck construction takes 1-3 usually. Additional services such as existing deck demolition, additional steps, special lighting, pergolas, covered porches and screened in porches require additional time.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The number one piece of advice I can provide a customer is: when it comes to home renovations, cheapest is rarely best. Find a company with experience, ask a ton of questions, and be confident that you are paying for quality work that won’t have to be re-done.
