Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We are always running different sales and specials on a variety of lines, don't ever assume that the price of 1 cabinet line will be the same for other cabinet lines. We are highly competitive and will work to earn your trust and business.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We start by understanding what type of project you are looking to complete. Then we work to get the measurements and pictures of the space so that we can put together a design for you and accurately quote you a cost for the cabinets. Since we don't operate an installation and full remodel, we've partnered with experienced and trained professionals that we've worked with in the past and can vouch for both the quality of work and how their relationship with the customers have been. As a result, we've developed relationships with some of the best guys in the triangle area to offer you full turn key packages for full renovations of kitchens/bath/laundry/etc. It's how we go above and beyond to ensure that you get more piece of mind while getting the best deal possible on your renovation.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We have several years of experience working on various types of remodels and renovations even before the business was officially established. We've done projects from small rental properties to large estates, with all the complexities you couldn't even imagine. While others are focused on just getting your money, we focus on gaining your trust and confidence that we not only will save you money, but also help guide you on making the best choices for your investment without being pushy or overbearing, we aren't sales people, we love what we do and trust that our honesty and quality work will speak for itself.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
We got started by designing and investing in a way to source cabinets for personal property and flips that we've worked on. We came to the conclusion after working with many contractors that one of their biggest hurdles both financially and logistically was cabinets. They were either spending too much trying to design and build something themselves or paying too much for them at big box stores and surplus warehouses. We branched into it because of our experience and involvement and developed a business model that drastically decreases both the time and investment to help streamline renovations for kitchen and bath. We started to realize how effective we became when the compliments and kudos poured in from our homeowners and contractors who now come to us regularly for their jobs.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We've worked with a variety of different customers, ranging from homeowners, house flippers, investors, contractors, and builders. We take a lot of the best ideas and choices that have worked across all the different types of property renovation investments and apply them to whatever project we are working on. It doesn't just help us continue to be great at what we do, but also helps those who rely on us, to give them the best option we've seen that actually works. Because our products are unique and diverse, we've had them featured on several episodes of the Property Brother on HGTV, in fact, you'll notice in some our pictures which ones were shown on TV.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of our recent projects was a very unique build out. It was a home built in the early 50s, very well kept but had not been updated since. It was nostalgic to walk through the home and see the history and be fortunate enough to become a part of the history in that home going from traditional to modern. At first, the kitchen space was very tight and small and the homeowner had somewhat of an idea of what they'd like but not sure how to get it done. That's where we came in, got the measurements and talked to the client to understand their needs and wants for the space. We hit the drawing board and put together a proposal that our client fell in love with, in fact, they loved it so much that they asked us to further expand into another room and build out more cabinetry for them. The project took less than 3 weeks, despite the complexity, custom work and builds on the kitchen island, we put together one stunning kitchen that you'd never would expect in a home built that long ago. The homeowners were so pleased they've asked us to also renovate their bathrooms as well.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
We always tell customers to do their research, understand what is involved in their renovations and to shop around and always ask questions. Getting the absolute cheapest prices, doesn't correlate to the best quality or deal. Look for reputable and trusted people to do the work, unfortunately, more times than we'd like to hear, we come across homeowners that have trusted the wrong people for a job and end up with a chop job and wasted time and money, and worse, guys that are paid for a job and then don't respond or disappear. Yes you read that right, we encountered a homeowner who spent nearly $20K on a home renovation with another contractor and pleaded with us to rescue her from the job because the other contractor wanted more money before starting the job. As homeowners ourselves, we look to hire honest and trustworthy people to come in and do various jobs, so why would we expect any differently from our own business? If there is an alternative that would be better or save you a good bit, even if it doesn't result in business from us, we will tell you, yes we've done that in the past and will continue to do so because we are a company built on honest and trustworthy business practices.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
There are hundreds of different things you'll need to consider and think about carefully when it comes time to doing a remodel. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed or don't know how much something like this would cost you but you can simply start with sending us a quick message; our initial on-site consultation is free!
