Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I am fair, transparent, accountable, and timely. I use only the best quality products and focus on every detail to implement my clients ideas into the best result. I provide itemized invoices, complimentary walk-thru bids, and design services.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
My goal is to minimize the stress and disruption typically associated with large projects, ensuring a positive renovation experience. I achieve this by providing complimentary walk-through bids, itemized invoices, transparent communication, ongoing project management oversight and regular project check-ins. To ensure project success, we will conduct a thorough budget review, schedule regular touch-base meetings throughout the project, and maintain complete transparency in all communications.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am licensed & insured and have over 30+ years of experience in the trade.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
A lifelong passion for construction was ignited at a young age, building treehouses with my cousin Danny and spending my high school summers working for my uncle's construction company. As a division 1 athlete and graduate of the University of Minnesota-Carlson School of Management, I further expanded my skills and strong work ethic through international experience, leveraging my Spanish proficiency in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico building golf course resorts.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with the following owners: 1. First-time home buyers that wanted their basement finished 2. Experienced homeowners that have repeatedly utilized my services on multiple renovations. 3. Multi-generational families building out a mother-in-law suite and garage. 4. Owners needing emergency repairs (water damage, fire damage). 5. Clients converting their garage into a home-office. 6. Seniors requiring wheelchair accessible bathroom. 7. Investment properties and rental units. 8. Clients restoring historic homes. 9. Clients seeking luxury renovations. 10. Clients building out a massive playroom for their grandchildren.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A memorable master bathroom remodel in Edina involved a client who, paused her project due to her mother's passing. Upon resuming, our client chose to incorporate bold, luxurious, albeit 'tacky' (her words), design elements to honor her mother. The finished bathroom was truly stunning and a meaningful space.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I believe a successful project begins with a strong understanding of your needs, vision and final goals. Create a storyboard on Pinterest or even cut/paste an actual storyboard to give the provider an idea of what you expect.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Beyond the budget, schedule, and your vision, be transparent. Known issues not communicated bring problems to the project and will increase the expense and the timeline.
